Hutcheson Soybeans are a proven forage soybean built for wildlife food plots, producing thick, leafy growth that deer actively feed on throughout the summer. They provide a high-protein food source during a critical time of year, helping support antler growth and overall herd health while creating consistent attraction.

Growing approximately 24–60 inches tall, Hutcheson soybeans perform best in warm, well-drained soils and can handle moderate browsing once established. As a legume, they also help improve soil by fixing nitrogen, adding value to your plot beyond just forage. More leafy growth = more available food.

Highlights:

  • Specifically designed as a forage soybean with high-protein nutrition
  • Produces dense, leafy growth deer consistently feed on
  • More greens = more available food
  • Handles moderate browsing pressure once established
  • Tolerates a wide range of soil types (best in well-drained soils)

Seeding Rate: 30-50 lbs per acre
Seed Type: Annual Legume
Planting Time: Late Spring – Early Summer (60°F+ soil temps)
Planting Method: Drill or Broadcast (cover seed for best results)
Sunlight: Full Sun
