Sorghum Sudangrass is a warm-season annual grass that is a cross between forage sorghum and Sudangrass. It is drought tolerant and can grow in limited moisture conditions. It grows well in northern environments with shorter growing seasons. It can grow anywhere from 5 to 12 feet tall.
- Fall and Winter Food: Offers food for deer, quail, turkey, pheasant, prairie chicken, ducks, geese, and doves.
- Waterfowl Habitat: Can be flooded to provide a habitat for waterfowl.
- Upland Bird Habitat: Can be left dry to create a habitat for upland birds.
- Winter Cover: Provides valuable winter cover for wildlife.
