RC Tecumseh Switchgrass is an upland switchgrass developed specifically for the Great Plains and lower rainfall regions of the United States. Typically reaching 6–7+ feet under proper conditions, it produces strong, upright growth suited for bedding cover and screening. It was selected for improved establishment, low lodging, and exceptional heat and drought tolerance.
RC Tecumseh is best adapted to areas averaging less than 30 inches of annual precipitation and has shown strong performance from the Northern Great Plains south into Texas. At the same time, it maintains excellent winter hardiness, tested into Zone 3B.
A dependable upland switchgrass option for landowners needing structure in dry, heat-prone environments.

Seeding Rate: 7–10 lbs per acre
Use 10 lbs per acre for thicker screening. Use 7-8 lbs per acre for bedding cover.
