RC Sundance Switchgrass is an early maturing upland switchgrass developed from elite Cave-In-Rock and Sunburst breeding lines. It typically reaches 6½–8 feet under proper conditions, producing dense vertical structure suited for screening and bedding cover. Maturing approximately 7–10 days earlier than Cave-In-Rock, it offers strong drought tolerance and dependable winter hardiness across much of the Upper Midwest and Northern Great Plains. In addition to dry conditions, it has performed well on sandy soils and in areas with imperfect drainage or moderate seasonal flooding.
