Typically growing 4–7 feet tall in most conditions (and taller in ideal soils), it provides excellent cover for wildlife and serves as a foundational species in prairie and habitat plantings. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and helps stabilize soil through its extensive root network.

Planted on bare ground with light rain afterwards. The switchgrass i planted is doing great but the Milo is disappointing. Not much has come up
Only came up about 4 inches and is not very think. Not sure if that is what it’s supposed to do but not very impressed
Thanks for the feedback. Switchgrass is a perennial and takes 2–3 years to fully mature, so growth after only a couple of months isn’t representative of the finished stand. Im very impressed with tnts barrier blend. I planted mine May 30th in Illinois and by August 2nd its 10-11 feet tall. Its fast growing and super easy to plant. Its thicker then any any other "barrier" I've planted

It’s been super dry here in Illinois so I’m sure we didn’t get the growth we were supposed to out of this mix. Customer service is awesome. Quality of the seed has always been great.
I planted this for the first year in a 2 acre plot and the deer love it!! Sat on plot opening day of bow in northern Michigan and had 17 deer out there.
