Big Bluestem

Big Bluestem is a native warm season perennial grass known for its height, strong structure, and deep root system. Typically growing 4–7 feet tall in most conditions (and taller in ideal soils), it provides excellent cover for wildlife and serves as a foundational species in prairie and habitat plantings. Once established, it is highly drought-tolerant and helps stabilize soil through its extensive root network.
