BARRIER — The New Standard in Annual Screening

Pre-Order Available (Estimated Shipping Date Mid February)

(Stock is very limited)

BARRIER is a tall, durable annual screen built to stay standing into the late season. Whether you’re hiding access to a deer stand, blocking roads or trails, or creating pressure-free movement, BARRIER creates a true wall where you need it most.

Key Features

  • Grows 12+ feet tall in as little as 70 days
  • Withstands the harshest conditions (tested in northern Minnesota)
  • Annual screen - move and redesign screens as your property evolves
  • Provides screening, shelter, and food depending on species
  • Highly adaptable to a wide range of soil types

Field-tested in multiple regions and proven through harsh northern Minnesota winters, BARRIER has handled hail, 50+ mph winds, heavy wet snow, and freezing rain. Growing 12–15+ feet tall, BARRIER stands when it matters most.

Deer do not browse this screen. That keeps deer out of the areas you’re trying to hide. Pheasants, however, use it heavily for late-season shelter and feed on the mature seed heads once they drop.

BARRIER. STAND TALL OR DON’T PLANT AT ALL.

Planting Guide

We recommend planting 15 feet wide minimum. The wider the planting, the better the screen performs. It can be planted narrower, but results will not be as effective.

Seed Type: Annual

Sunlight Exposure: Full Sun is ideal (Partial Sun may work)

Seeding Depth: 1/2 inch

BARRIER can be broadcasted on top the soil however you NEED to work it in with a drag or some other equipment

Seeding Rate: 10 - 12 lbs per acre

Soil Type: Well Drained (can do well in moderately drained areas as well)

Seeding Date

Spring is the best time to plant, however there is no specific calendar planting date. Plant only after soil temperatures are consistently 65°F or warmer.

Seed matures in approximately 110 days. For best results, plant with at least 110 days before your average first frost date. Later plantings are possible, but may not produce a seed head and standability may be reduced.

In favorable conditions, we have observed growth reaching 7 feet within 60 days of planting.

DO NOT FROST SEED

Note: We are finalizing fertilizer and spraying recommendations and will have them available soon. Guidance will be included with all orders.
